Deutscher Oberlehrer Martin Schulz rügt Israel

Mir stehen die Haare zu Berge: Martin Schulz hält Israel eine Moralpredigt – sie gäben den Palestiniensern zu wenig Wasser – und das in einer Sprache, in der sich Israel am wenigsten etwas sagen läßt: auf deutsch. Martin Schulz reagierte auf lautstarken Protest verdutzt und gab zu, daß er die Quelle seiner Aussage nicht überprüft habe.

Martin Schulz ist mir das erste Mal aufgefallen, als er vor dem europäischen Parlament (seinerzeit als Abgeordneter und nicht als Präsident des Parlaments) selbstgerecht und in schneidendem Ton Berlusconi zurechtwies. Ich dachte: Um Gottes Willen, hoffentlich halten ihn andere deutsche Abgeordnete davon ab öfter öffentlich aufzutreten. Berlusconi hatte gerade eine Rede hatte. Er antwortete Schulz, indem er ihn für eine Filmrolle als KZ-Aufseher vorschlug. Keine Frage, das war von Berlusconi eine inakzeptable Geschmacklosigkeit und Beleidigung. Doch war es bedeutsam, daß Berlusconi diesen Vergleich wählte und nicht einen anderen….
