City officials hope discovery of late 19th century murals will spur restoration efforts and inspire a developer to turn building into boutique hotel.

The first hotel in Rishon Letzion now stands abandoned amidst weeds. But the 10-room London Hotel, built in the late 19th century, has more on its walls than graffiti. Authentic murals have been discovered with scenes from the days when Rishon, now Israel's fourth-largest city, was a small farming colony.
