Back to square one?

A survey was meant to help decide the future of Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Square, but instead it's inspired even more questions.

Yaacov Agam's landmark fountain, which stands neglected in the center of Dizengoff Square, attests to the condition of the entire area. Many of the surrounding businesses around the square are abandoned, and at night it is a meeting place for wayward teens and a makeshift shelter for the homeless.
In order to figure out what to do with the square, the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality initiated a preliminary survey, conducted by the Dahaf Research Institute, as part of which passers-by on city streets were asked to answer a questionnaire….
