Back to the Future / A step up from a tent
Jaffa's recently completed Rova development is a muted attempt to create a familiar and affordable space in an old city. Gentrification, though, may be inevitable.
The Rova (quarter ) Project on Yefet Street in Jaffa is being marketed as an "a once-in-4,000-years opportunity."
The development is unique for several reasons: it enjoys a central location (in relation to Tel Aviv as well ), is close to Jaffa's Old City, the seashore, and the flea market, and at one time, in 2003, when construction just began, offered apartments at a relatively low price….
