Benny Gantz takes over as Israel's 20th army chief

Major General Benny Gantz entered his position as Israel Defense Forces' 20th chief of staff on Monday morning.

The day of transition began with a ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, in which Gantz was promoted to lieutenant general.
