'Egypt asked EU to freeze Mubarak's assets'

EU diplomat says member states will discuss freezing ousted Egypt president's assets on Tuesday.

Egypt has formally asked European Union countries to freeze the assets held by ousted president Hosni Mubarak on their territory, a diplomat from the bloc said on Monday.
