Essam Sharaf says revision could boost Egypt's income from natural gas sales by $3 billion to $4 billion; four Israeli gas exploration partnerships will be raising about half a billion shekels after Passover to finance the next stages of their explorations.
The move had long been expected and is indeed taking shape: Egypt will review the contracts under which it supplies natural gas to Israel and Jordan, Prime Minister Essam Sharaf said yesterday. The revision could boost Egypt's income from natural gas sales by $3 billion to $4 billion, the prime minister said.
