Saturday’s referendum in Egypt strengthened the Muslim Brotherhood and has made it the best-positioned Egyptian political group, according to several experts on the Islamic organization.
The constitutional changes approved in the weekend vote help clear the path for elections to take place in the next six months, a schedule backed by the military but considered by many democracy advocates as too soon to allow new parties to get organized….
