Gadhafi says will arm civilians against 'colonial crusader' attack

Libyan leader responds to air strikes by Western forces by requesting that the United Nations halt the attacks and saying that he must arm the masses.

A defiant Muammar Gadhafi said on Saturday he will arm civilians to defend Libya from what he called "colonial, crusader" aggression by Western forces that have launched air strikes against him.
Gadhafi also called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council after it was bombarded by a coalition of Western states, Arabic satellite channels Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya reported on Sunday….
