The head of the Moshavim Movement wants to turn the country's farming communities into tourist attractions.
Imagine driving through a vibrant countryside surrounded by fields, rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. Shelter for the night could be found almost anywhere – in the dormer of a farmhouse over the family quarters.
The family lives on the main floor, and the basement is likely to house a small winery serving the specialty vineyards surrounding the house. Neighbors – those without a home-based winery – may have a home dairy for making goat and sheep milk cheeses, or perhaps a workshop for producing ceramic vessels, embroidery or other crafts….
