Google bought Modu's patents for NIS 17 million

Search engine giant Google has bought the patents of Modu for NIS 17 million, the defunct wireless-phone developer's receiver told the court yesterday. Attorney Hanit Nov says Google won an online auction process, besting bids from U.S. company Silent River and Canadian wireless technology company Wi-Lan.
The rights Google purchased relate to 15 patents registered in the United States, two registered in the UK and 68 pending patent registration requests in Israel, the U.S., Europe and Asia….
