Hariri: No alternative to dialogue to solve Lebanon crisis
Despite pledges to help the country's president in his efforts to form a new government, Saad Hariri is not specifying whether he will agree to be a candidate for prime minister once again.
Caretaker Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri said on Friday that Lebanon's rival political factions had no alternative to dialogue after Hezbollah and its allies brought down his government.
The showdown between Hariri, a Sunni Muslim, and the Shi'ite Hezbollah could lead to a protracted crisis and raised fears that sectarian tensions may spill onto the streets, fuelled by regional powers who back Lebanon's opposing factions….
