Israel Aerospace Industries fined NIS 1 million for trying to export without permit

Fine levied by the ministry's Department of Defense Export Controls which checks deals relating to export of defense materials to ensure that appropriate permits are obtained.

The Defense Ministry fined Israel Aerospace Industries NIS 1 million in 2011 for conducting negotiations to sell military equipment to an unnamed foreign country without first obtaining ministry approval.
The fine was levied by the ministry's Department of Defense Export Controls. Established in 2006, this department checks deals relating to export of defense materials to ensure that appropriate permits are obtained and that the exporting company complies with the terms of the permits….
