Knesset research finds: Government stepped out, home prices surged
The protesters are demanding the state become more involved in the housing market, smooth out market fluctuations and make housing more affordable.
Over the last 10 years, the government dramatically curtailed its activity in the housing market. This exacerbated the surge in housing prices, a new report from the Knesset's Research and Information Center has concluded.
