Lebanon charges 11 people with kidnapping of Estonian cyclists

Lebanon's military prosecutor accuses the 11 charged, four of whom are still at large, of kidnapping the tourists at gunpoint and shooting at a security force patrol that had been chasing them.

Lebanon's military prosecutor charged 11 people on Friday with planning and participating in the kidnapping of seven Estonian tourists in the Bekaa Valley last month, judicial sources said.
The tourists, who were cycling from Syria, had crossed into Lebanon shortly before masked gunmen kidnapped them on a road between Zahle, a mostly Christian town, and Kfar Zabed, a mixed Sunni-Christian town, on March 23….
