Netanyahu to travel next week to London and Paris

Prime minister's office says his trip will be used to discuss political matters, without specifying; trip comes after Britain and France try to initiate stalled talks between Israel and the Palestinians by proposing a final settlement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office says he will meet next week with his British and French counterparts, in what some see as an attempt to counter support for a Palestinian initiative to set the parameters of a peace deal.
Netanyahu's trip comes after Britain, France and Germany tried two weeks ago to base a final Israeli-Palestinian peace deal on the 1967 line that marks the West Bank in an initiative to the Quartet of Mideast peacemakers, made up of the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia….
