Ophir Optronics has agreed to be purchased outright by the Newport Corporation for $230 million – a 92% premium on Ophir's trading value as of last Thursday, according to an announcement Friday by the company. Newport will pay $8.43 per share (about NIS 28.70 ) in cash for all Ophir shares in a deal expected to be concluded during the last quarter of 2011, when the company's stock will be delisted from the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange….
