Palestinian unity agreement is 'good news'

French president to send foreign minister to region next week to convince sides to return to the negotiating table.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Thursday a Palestinian unity deal was "good news" for the Middle East peace process and that France would do everything it could to revive Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
