Panetta: U.S. to give Israel additional $70 million for Iron Dome

Defense Minister Barak meets with U.S. Defense Secretary in the Pentagon, welcomes new U.S. aid; Israel has already received $205 million from the U.S. to support the short-range missile defense system.

The Pentagon will seek to provide Israel with an additional $70 million in the coming months for its Iron Dome short-range rocket shield, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said after a meeting with Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Thursday.
