Wear a white dress to celebrate Shavuot.
Holiday traditions include wearing white clothes for Shavuot. But even apart from that, when it gets hot, wearing white makes sense. Wearing light white cottons seems the civilized thing to do on steamy summer nights. In Israel, the weather calls for summer clothes almost year round and there are very few days when white is inappropriate.
But sensible or not, a lot of women shy away from wearing white dresses not only because white gets dirty so easily but also because some believe it adds kilos to their appearance and may be too bright and attention drawing.
That said, remember that it’s also a neutral and versatile color that is easy to accessories and match with other pieces. So, which is your favorite way to wear white? Will you brave the spring trend and try it out this holiday?…
