Vegetable prices in Israel spike due to cold winter weather

Tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and eggplant could climb in a matter of days.

Vegetable prices are likely to spike by NIS 6 to NIS 8 per kilo due to shortage caused by cold weather, said the head of the Plants Production and Marketing Board, Zvi Alon.
For some fruit and vegetables, this means prices may be doubling….
