Two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen, water is the most essential element for our survival after plain old air, yet most of us are walking around dehydrated. While our body can last a few weeks without food, we can only survive a few short days without water. The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water (depending on body size, age and sex); but as a rule of thumb, it is considered that two-thirds of one’s body weight is water, making it the main component of one’s body.
